A wonderful experience that made me feel very proud. It was easy, stress free and very calm.”

Welcome

Childbirth has the potential to be one of the most wonderful experiences of our whole life. Unfortunately we are surrounded by negative stories and images of labour, and yet this is a wonderfully natural process, for which a woman’s body is perfectly well equipped.

Each birth is unique and this method is about empowering you to manage your individual experience, not fear it.

Using the EasibirthingTM method (supported by the NHS), we train you in the use of self-hypnosis, deep relaxation, visualisation, breathing techniques and pain management skills, all of which builds trust in your body and allows you to enter labour feeling calm, confident and in control. And if things don’t go exactly according to plan you’ll stay focused and calm. “Excellent! Quick & not without drama as baby got stuck (shoulders) but never frightened or worried."

Hypnosis for childbirth is one of the oldest uses of hypnosis and ironically has been increasing in popularity in the UK over the last 10 years. Back in 350 BC Aristotle advocated the use of deep relaxation in childbirth.

Hypnobirthing was a model first developed by Marie Mongan in the USA, based on the work of an English obstetrician, Grantly Dick-Read, whose principles were also the basis for the foundation of the National Childbirth Trust.

The Hypnobirthing model was based on American birth practises, whereas the EasibirthingTM method shares the principles of natural childbirth, has been developed to reflect UK midwifery practices and is supported by the NHS.

"It was brilliant. Everything I'd hoped for, thank you. It was a lovely journey that he and I made together. The bonding has been so much better and I'm loving it all."
"Absolutely brilliant. It was my perfect birth experience for me and my baby - thank you"  Kirsty, 2nd baby
